I did the web hierarchy, setting up a blog/web site using Weebly.com for each student in middle school to begin web authoring and publishing skills. Blogs were posted during Advisory times, focusing on social skills development and digital citizenship. Students comments were moderated by myself and other teachers, and universal password access provides limited student privacy, and across the board access for teacher. This pictures demonstrates a key component of my classroom management. Students receive non-verbal feedback from me, when I move their name down on the board. With zones in green, yellow, and red. Students in yellow are warned of not meeting classroom expectations that are posted above the chart, and students in red are on notice for consequence. Consequences include phone call home, lunch detention, conference, home visit, or applicable restorative justice.
